E.L. Robinson Engineering Co. prepared the site development and the construction detailing for a new 176,000 gallon water tank for the Water Department of the town of Kermit, West Virginia.
E.L. Robinson Engineering Co. incorporated a grid matrix to select the site for the new water tank. Key items considered included specific elevations to allow for the use of C-900 PVC pipe while providing optimal pressure and flow, and to allow for the ability to expand for future water line extensions in the surrounding area.
Due to constraints in the site topography, pile lagging retaining walls were designed to provide a structurally sound base for the new tank and its appearances.
