I-70 Fort Henry Interchange Bridge

E.L. Robinson Engineering Co. staff was hired by the West Virginia Department of Transportation, Division of Highways to prepare engineering design, construction plans and specifications for the superstructure and substructure components for a new bridge over I-70 in Ohio County, West Virginia. This bridge is currently being used to access the new Cabela's store in Wheeling.
The Fort Henry bridge consists of composite welded steel plate girders (60") with integral abutments and a multiple column pier.
The bridge is 78.5' wide and 280' long. There are two spans, with both spans being 140' in length.
